(You already have the reading list and some of the readings in the previous announcements. So you may check them. Week 9 is a new week for instance, you may check it.)

Toplumsal Yapılar Tarihsel Dönüşümler dersinde bu dönem iki tane pop-quiz yapılacak ve (ne zaman olacağı bilinmeyen) bu kısa sınavlar nihai notunuzun %20'sini oluşturacaktır. (Vize %40, final sınavı %40 ve quizler %20 şeklinde bir notlandırma olacaktır.) Sınavlar klasik veya çoktan seçmeli olabilecektir. Bu sınavların telafisi yapılmayacaktır.

The exams in the second sessions will be  40 minutes and they will be composed of long answer questions. 

Before the exam day please check your names in the second session lists that I will share on this platform.

The system lets you to see both sessions. But the second session is for the students who have conflicting exams and are given consent by the instructor. 

Above is the list of students who have conflicting exams and who will therefore enter the second session exams. 

So if you are not in the list, you should be taking the first session at 17:00. The exams of those who are not in the list and still enter the second session will be considered invalid.

The midterms for my courses will be take-home exams.

The exam composed of long answer question(s) will be announced on the new module of UZEM on May 18, Monday at 13:00.

The exams will end on May 20, Wednesday at 13:00.

The use of internet will be prohibited if the question(s) do not require such a research activity. It will not be necessary and/or useful to answer the questions. 

The use of the course material (reading list, readings, your notes, lecture recordings) is allowed.

Take-home exams look for originality in terms of answers and discussion of the course material at hand.

In terms of cheating/plagiarizing/ submitting similar exams the instructor may use programs such as google search, turnitin etc. Please make sure that your exam will include your answer (your own sentences) written by yourself.

Please make sure that you have the course material and you are familiar with it.
