Abstract:

In this work, EDOT-BPI1, EDOT-BPI2 ligands and their palladium complexes (EDOT-PdBPI1 and EDOT-PdBPI2) were synthesized. While EDOT-BPI1 was obtained from the reaction of EDOT-Pht with 2-amino-4-methyl-pyridine, EDOT-BPI2 was from the reaction of EDOT-Pht with 2-amino pyridine at reflux in a high boiling point solvent (n-hexanol). Structures of the synthesized compounds were characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, UV-Vis spectroscopic and via mass spectrometric techniques. Differences of ligands and their complexes were observed. The electrochemistry and electropolymerization of the obtained EDOT-PdBPI1 compound were examined and copolymerization of the EDOT-PdBPI1 compound was carried out by electrochemical method. Finally, homo and copolymer modified electrodes of the EDOT-PdBPI1 were prepared and biosensor properties of modified electrodes were investigated. Consequently, the biosensor property of the copolymer modified electrode was observed as much better.
