Özet:

Agile methodologies are one of the popular subjects for the software development industry. In recent years, the companies are discussion about spreading Agile across the whole organizations. Agile become popular in Turkey especially in the last ten years, but there is limited research about the experience of Agile frameworks, limitations, benefits and challenges. 

In this research, application of Agile software development methodologies in Turkey is analysed by comparing the literature and the application of early-adopter countries. This study aims to understand experiences of Agile, benefits, challenges, limitations, improvement actions in terms of cultural background of Turkey. Another motivation of this research is to understand the inter-firm and inter-industry differences while applying Agile. Besides, the future themes and approaches of Agile is also analysed. In this empirical research, interviews were conducted with the participants from three industries and nine companies, as well as consultants and academicians. Interviews are crucial for this research since in-depth knowledge is obtained from the interviews about the current situation of the Turkish Agile software development experience and the improvement areas. 

Consequently, this study aims to define the outputs of Agile transformation in different companies and different industries of Turkey and make recommendations for the development areas by considering future trends.
