Abstract:

A large part of our country's energy needs supplied by imports is known fact. Textiles sector is the most energy consumption intense industrial sector. Textiles sector by encourages and supports is very fast developments in some provinces between 1990 and 2000.This fast and uncontrolled development causes inefficient energy consumption This study, textile production lines and machines energy expenditure was determined by examining, areas for energy savings. The amount of recoverable energy was calculated by theoretical calculations for each machine and process. Evulation of studies were selected taking into studies? budget and amortization periods. As a result, energy savings studies achieved a serious level in energy recovery.This study, researched the possibilities for energy savings for the largest and leading integrated textile plant in Turkey for many years. As the same time important they were applied studies.This study conducted on the basis of a sample factory will be guide for engineers and technical staff working in the textile sector.KEYWORDS : energy recovery, textile and energy, energy savings.
