Gear mechanism 

Due to 17th of March, 2024

• During the 3rd week’s lecture, we followed the FEM steps for a conical bar to understand FEM via direct formulation. The conical bar was divided into four regions. Follow similar steps and solve the problem with four elements. Then repeat the steps for six elements by hand solving. Compare the results. 

• Besides hand-solving, you can also use Ansys to compare your results. It is not obligatory. 
  

• Submit to the online system with a pdf file.
