    Introduction to Nanotechnology: i. Nanotechnology, nanoscience, nanoengineering, nanomaterial concepts and history, necessity of nanotechnology, nanotechnology nature relation, various applicarion areas, applications related to mechanical and manufacturing engineering; Nanomaterials: i. Nanostructures, nanomaterial types, effect of size into nanomaterial, nanofiber and nanoparticle structures, ii. Carbon based nanomaterials (fellerene, carbon nanotube, graphene etc.), synthesis mechanism of nanomaterials, nanocomposites; Fabrication (synthesis) of nanomaterials: i. Bottom-up and top-down fabrication teqhniques, nanomaterial synthesis methods (from solid, liquid and gas state), carbon nanotube and graphene synthesis methods, ii. Modification and functionalization of nanomaterials, nanocomposite fabrication methods, micro/nano electro mechanical system fabrication, nanocomposite fabrication methods, iii. Nanocomposite surface coating, nanofluid and nanolubricant production; Characterization of nanomaterials: i. Usage of electron microscopy for nanomaterial investigation, scanning probe microscopy and friction and wear, scratch test, adhesion and capilarity tests of nanomaterials, types and their usage, tips for scanning probe microscobes, ii. Usage of spectroscopy techniques in the characterization of nanomaterials, developments in nanocharacterization techniques, iii. Experimental mechanical and physical property measurements and evaluations for nanomaterials, experimental evaluation of mechanical properties of nanocomposites and examining their coherence with the models, evaluation of the properties in terms of mechanical and manufacturing engineering applications; Arrangement of nanomaterials working (labor) conditions: i. Ethical issues, environmental matters, laboratory safety issues, toxicity of nanomaterials and health issues to consider, clean room concept; Current Studies: i. Current studies from the world and our country, brainstorming and comparisons; Future of Nanotechnology: ii. Expectations of science and technology world.
