Proje Özeti

Studies by scientists show that the biggest changes on climate have occurred in the last 20 years. The nature destroyed by man hand, gas emission and many other factors are shown among the causes of climate change. It is stated that the structures produced with materials such as reinforced concrete, steel and glass, which increase in the field of design and architecture, cause environmental destruction, and it is known that classical reinforced concrete structures cause 40% of carbon dioxide emissions in the atmosphere. The structures produced with natural materials such as wood and adobe instead of steel and cement, which are the basic materials of construction, and the use of natural wood in these structures are strongly recommended by scientists working in this field. It has been stated that wood, known as the most important carbon catcher in the world, is also very resistant to natural disasters such as fire and earthquake, is very light, does not collapse easily, and even if it collapses, it does not kill the people inside.

That's why we care about encouraging young people to use wood in shelters and living spaces for the world of our future in the fight to be made against the Global Climate Crisis and natural disasters, which is our common agenda of the world, Europe and us, and spreading this awareness to all relevant people and institutions through young people. We aim to draw attention to the use of wooden structures in post-disaster reconstruction areas and urban transformation services, to advocate for influencing the policies of the Ministries, to contribute to the education curricula, and to develop international joint platforms and projects in this field at the European level.
Within the scope of this project, 30 young people from European countries will develop 5 product Prototypes (such as pavilion, resting area, kitchen, wc) in groups with natural/recycled materials such as wood, clay, straw or glass bottles in a nature-friendly ecological area. These young people will produce and build the Post-Disaster Temporary Housing Unit with know-how activities.
While designing our projects, we will encourage our stakeholders and participants to discuss and learn about environmental issues. We will try to get them to think about what can be done at their level and have an environmentally friendly approach to help them find greener alternative ways of implementation.                                                                                                                       AIMS OF THE PROJECT

● To enable participants from different countries to share their knowledge and experience in woodworking technology and to increase the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills of participants in woodworking technologies.
● To bring up the prominent wooden construction projects and structural wooden materials of the participants in different countries. Besides to enable them to share these and develop prototypes that are beneficial to the public and the environment by producing new designs with new Technologies and to follow the developing trends,
● To increase their awareness by sharing information among the participants about sustainable urban planning, architecture and design, which reduce the impact of the global climate crisis,
● To enable them to do research and development by learning traditional and modern production techniques and to enable them to compare the knowledge and application differences between Industry 1.0 and Industry 5.0,
● To establish a sustainable dialogue on the international platform by establishing working cooperation among individuals,
● Creating job opportunities in the woodworking technologies sector and contributing to the career development of the participants,
● Developing new solutions and strategies for the sustainability of wooden structures. To raise awareness in this field.
