Özet

This paper includes a topology optimization study and results based on computer-aided design and finite element

analysis to reduce the weight of welding fixtures used in the automotive industry. The main purpose of the study is to reduce the total weight of the equipment by examining the tensile energy of the parts used on the welding fixture. The movement of the welding fixtures in the production lines can be lifted by the operators or by the robots. If the load lifted by the robot increases during the movement, the investment costs and maintenance costs of the robot will increase. On the other hand, increasing the weight of the fixtures carried by the operator creates the risk of ergonomics. Reducing the weight of the equipment used in production lines is important to reducing these problems associated with total cost of robots and employee health. The aim of the study is to reduce the weight of the parts by at least 10% by using Solidworks Simulation Topology Study. As a result of the analysis, the design has been repeated considering the organic structure proposed by the software program. Finally, after checked for the stability of parts by static analysis and fatigue analysis applied on initial design and the optimized design, the final parts are formed.
