Özet

In this paper, compact version of partially dielectric loaded TEM Ridged Horn (PDTEM-RHA- 13) antenna is presented for ultra-wide band applications. Since outer size of antenna is approximately 2.5 times reduced compared 0.4-14 GHz version, operation band of antenna shifts to higher frequencies. Designed antenna simulated, fabricated and measured. According to results gain performance of the antenna starts from 1.5 GHz and continues till distortion of pattern at 28 GHz. Because of TEM horn feeder, antenna radiate from lower frequency compared to same size ridged horn antenna. Antenna gain is about 16 dB at operation bandwidth. Because of dielectric loading, pattern distortion, where main lobe splits two sub lobes, occurs at higher frequency. Thus, operation bandwidth broadens to 20:1 and gain increases. Furthermore, VSWR of the antenna is smaller than 3 at whole band.
