UN Sustainable Development Goals

Building Physics Research Group (BPRG) aims

  • to carry out studies and offer solutions to provide physical comfort (thermal, visual and auditory comfort) conditions considering volume scale to urban scale,

  • to use energy efficiently while creating a healthy and comfortable physical environment,

  • to be sustainable while providing suitable conditions in terms of physical environment elements such as heat-humidity, light-color, sound.

Study Subjects:

  • Heat-Humidity (Thermal comfort, Building energy performance, Solar and wind control)

  • Lighting (Architectural lighting, Color, Daylighting)

  • Acoustics (Volume acoustics, Noise control, Urban Acoustics)

  • Building Energy Performance

BPRG is actively working towards the following Sustainable Development Goals, which are aimed to be achieved by the United Nations member countries by the end of 2030:

  • Goal 7: Accessible clean energy

  • Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities

  • Goal 12: Responsible production and consumption

  • Goal 13: Climate action

BPRG, in line with the Eleventh Development Plan of the Republic of Turkey (2019-2023);

  • It carries out studies on digital transformation, R&D, innovation and construction, engineering-architecture, technical consultancy and contracting services within the scope of Competitive Production and Efficiency target, and

  • urbanization, housing, urban transformation and environmental protection within the scope of Livable Cities, Sustainable Environment target.
