Researches on housing satisfaction show that housing space, suitable for personal needs, contributes positively to the person's housing satisfaction and quality of life.
This course aims to discuss the elements of housing production suitable for the needs of the changing society with the digital transformation in the context of sociological theories and technological developments.
Within the scope of the course, the development of societies over time, the elements of the information and technology society will be presented primarily in the context of social theories. The phenomenon of digital transformation and its impact on society will be discussed.
In the information and communication society, consumption habits, the need for housing, and new parameters will be revealed. Discussions about the needs of an individual in the digital world and the reflection of these needs to the space will be handled within the scope of this course.
Housing production in the information and communication society will be discussed in terms of new functions and technological devices.
Addressing the new ways in housing production with the digital transformation in an urban context on a larger scale and rethinking the housing areas in this digitalized process are other topics covered within this course.
