Abstract

From the last decade of the millennium to the present, it can be thought that a great cultural change has occurred. This article aims to emphasize how the media and animation art affects this process and how it interacts with globalism. In the article, the interaction of the increase in the ratio of films containing transmedia storytelling and the digital animation and visual effects used in these films with globalization processes is examined. The method used in this article is to statistically evaluate quantitative data such as the box office revenues of the last thirtyyear- movies in movie theaters and show the changing trends over the years with the graphs produced from these statistics. The article, which will not be based on much literature review beyond the basic sources on globalization and transmedia storytelling, assumes that the graphics will lead to a clearer and more objective conclusion.
