Biography

AYSE OCAL (Member, IEEE) received the M.S. degree with a specialization in Data Science and the Ph.D. degree from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY, USA, in 2018 and 2023, respectively, under the supervision of Prof. Kevin Crowston, Distinguished Professor. 

Her research interests include artificial intelligence, data science, and natural language processing, with a particular focus on social media analytics and computational social science. She develops advanced machine learning and deep learning models to analyze opinions, emotions, and expectations related to emerging technologies.

Dr. Ocal has received multiple awards for excellence in research and teaching.
