Dear Students,

Please read the following instructions carefully for the EXPERIMENT 2&3 session:

• EXP2: Only the Zener diode experiment will be performed initially. Then,

• EXP3: Parts 2.b and 3 will be performed. However, you should still perform simulations for all circuits.

• Bring both experiment sheets (EXP2 and EXP3) with you.

• Two quizzes will be held together before the experiments, covering both EXP2 and EXP3. This time, the total quiz duration will be 15 minutes.

Most importantly, you must come fully prepared with all the required materials and components. Being unprepared may prevent you from completing the experiments on time.

Please find attached the BME3315 Analog Electronics Laboratory Guidelines. I strongly recommend reading the document carefully before attending the first laboratory session.

Please pay particular attention to the following important points:

🔹 Be prepared before coming to the lab: Review the experiment in advance and prepare all required laboratory materials and circuit components before the session. Materials should not be arranged during the experiment.

🔹 Reports: Each group must prepare a report before each experiment and submit it before the announced deadline. Late reports will not be evaluated. The provided report template must be used.

🔹 Original work: Reports must be prepared independently. If all or part of a report is identical to another group’s report, both reports will be considered duplicates and graded zero.

🔹 Quizzes: A short quiz will be held before each experiment to assess your preparation.

🔹 Attendance and punctuality: Students who are more than 15 minutes late will be considered absent. An unattended experiment receives a zero. Students must also stay until the end of the laboratory session.

🔹 Performance: Your individual performance will be evaluated based on the circuit you set up, the results you obtain, and your contribution during the experiment.

🔹 Measurements: Experimental results must be shown to the responsible lecturer. No further experiment will be carried out before the results are checked.

🔹 Safety: Always turn off the power supply before making or changing circuit connections. Check all connections carefully before applying voltage. If a circuit does not work as expected, turn off the power supply immediately and check the circuit.

🔹 Equipment: Check the assigned equipment before starting the experiment and immediately report any faulty or damaged equipment to the lecturer.

🔹 Laboratory rules: Eating, drinking, smoking are not allowed in the laboratory. Please keep your workbench clean and return all equipment to its original place after the experiment.

🔹 Grading: The experiment grade consists of Quiz (25%) + Report (25%) + Performance (50%). The course grade consists of 60% average of the nine experiments + 40% practical final exam.

Please read the attached guideline carefully, as all students attending the laboratory are considered to have accepted these rules.

This week, BME3315 Analog Laboratory will be conducted as an introductory session.

For this week only, Section 1 and Section 2 will be conducted together. Therefore, all students in Section 1 are expected to come to the laboratory at 11:00.

Additionally, up to total four -4- students from Section 1 or 2 may switch to Section 3.

• The first three students to send an email requesting the section change will be considered.
• In case of high demand, where more than three students request the change, the three students will be selected by random draw.

Students who wish to switch from Section 1-2 to Section 3 should send their requests by emailing me.
