• The quizzes were evaluated on an out-of-3 basis except for the pop quiz which was evaluated by Prof. Altun out of 100.
• Time periods on Thursday, 02/05/2024 between 11:00-12:30 and 13:00-15:00 will be available for students who want to see their papers and figure out their mistakes. It is recommended that you do so as it supplements your learning process.
• Pay attention that your papers will be with the assistant that attended the problem session at the time. I have attended the quizzes at the time assigned to section 1 for quizzes 1-3 and the time assigned to section 2 for quiz 4. If you entered the quiz in any other time interval, Res. Asst. Celal Tayfur KOÇ will have your paper.

Starting on Week 4, problem solving sessions will start on Wednesdays.

• Attached are practice problems for you to prepare for the sessions.
• Problems solved in the sessions will includes some, but are not limited to, the problems attached.
• A 10-minute quiz will be conducted in every problem session at a time to be decided by the moderating assistants.
• The time for the quiz may not be fixed and may be at any point in the session, so make sure to attend as much of the sessions as possible.
• The quizzes will be graded in an out-of-3 system and attending the quiz will amount to 1 third of the score.

• Go to https://www.mathworks.com/downloads/ and log in to your Mathworks account.
• If you do not already have an account, click on "Create one!" and create an account using your student email (ending with @std.yildiz.edu.tr)
• Click on "Download for Windows" to start the download.
• While installing please make sure to download all toolboxes related to course content, i.e., Symbolic Toolbox and Simulink.
• As we will be using them extensively in the next years, I recommend, if possible, to download Simscape and Control Systems Toolbox for the least. Try playing around with them. Do not hesitate to contact me by email for a more comprehensive list. If enough people are interested I can share more content around that here on Avesis.
