According to the received e-mails, the project groups are listed in the attached document.
Since regression methods are not covered in our course, the groups that selected a continuous target variable in their dataset must convert it into categorical data and apply classification methods for prediction. However, if they prefer not to discretize the target variable, the groups may choose another dataset. In that case, the group spokesperson should inform me.
Requests for member changes or dataset changes must be submitted with a valid justification no later than December 5, 2025. No changes will be allowed after this date.
The project assignment has been announced on online.yildiz.edu.tr. Additionally, it is attached here.

The resit exam for the course ‘MTM4641 Introduction to Data Mining’ will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026.
The exam
will consist of open-ended (classical) questions. All topics covered in the
course are included.
The necessary formulas will be provided together with the exam paper
(explanations of the formulas and the meanings of the symbols will not be
given).
Please bring a calculator with you to the exam. The use of mobile phones and shared calculators will be strictly prohibited.

The resit exam for Statistics will be a hybrid exam containing also classical and multiple-choice questions.
Statistics tables and the formulas that were distributed in the final exam will also be distributed during the resit exam. Bring a simple calculator with you to the exam. The use of mobile phones and the sharing of calculators will not be permitted.

The Make-up Exam (for all midterms) for the course "MTM3651 Statistics" will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 14:30 in classroom KMB-202 in an open-ended exam format.
Scope: All topics (excluding topics to be covered on the day of the make-up exam).
- Only students whose excuses have been accepted by the department are eligible to take the make-up exam.
- The scoring for each question will be indicated on the question paper.
