Biography
Dr. Kadir ERKAN is a full professor and the Head of the Mechatronics Engineering Department at Yıldız Technical University, Istanbul. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo and has extensive experience in multidisciplinary research spanning electromagnetic suspension, hybrid magnetic bearings, robotics, maglev transportation, and advanced mechatronic systems. With over 70 scientific publications, several patents, and leadership in many TÜBİTAK- and BAP-supported R&D projects, he has significantly contributed to the advancement of innovative mechatronic technologies. He actively collaborates with industry and academia.
