Abstract

In this study, a high-frequency induction cooktop system utilizing a quasi-resonant inverter topology that can provide soft switching in the main voltage range of 150V-250 VAC and input power range of 1000-2000 W is presented. The factors affecting the soft switching range in the proposed induction cooktop design are explained, and design parameters for achieving a wide soft switching range are determined. These parameters were optimized to design an induction cooktop system with a maximum power output of 2000 W. The proposed design was simulated in a computer environment, and it was observed that soft switching was achieved within the 1000-2000 W power range. The design, validated through simulation, was implemented, and the waveforms confirmed that soft switching was maintained within the 1000-2000 W power range.
