Özet

Rapid development in the use of wind energy power plants (WEPP) has led to the problem of optimal wind turbine site-matching. For the solution of wind turbine site-matching problem, there are different criteria such as capacity factor, energy, cost, amortization and productivity, which are used in the previous studies. Using one or a few of these criteria may not give the optimal site matching solution for various sites having different wind profile. In this paper, the above mentioned parameters as well as three methods for the estimation of weibull probability density function parameters are considered for site-matching problem. For this purpose seven different wind turbines are taken into account to solve the site-matching problem for three regions in Turkey. The results show that each site matching criterion may lead to different wind turbine as optimal. Hence the study indicates that all above mentioned parameters should be considered for optimal wind turbine site matching.
