Abstract

Photopolymerization of multifunctional acrylates with 2-thioxanthone-thioacetic acid (TXSCH2COOH) and 2-(carboxymethoxy) thioxanthone (TXOCH2COOH) as the one-component photoinitiator has been investigated by real-time Fourier transform infrared (RT-FTIR) spectroscopy. The photobleaching of these one-component nature initiators was performed in air. The irradiation time for total bleaching was 240s for TXSCH2COOH and 540s for TXOCH2COOH. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V.
