Özet

To provide a sustainable future and a liveable world for the next generations, finding alternative energy sources have one of the highest priorities of the researchers and governments. Since hydrogen energy is a clean and efficient source of energy, it is one of the best alternatives, especially in the transportation sector. To promote the usage of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles (HFCV), the number of hydrogen refuelling stations (HRS) should be increased.Since the construction cost of an HRS is high, it is important to choose the location and number of HRS efficiently. In this study, we address this question and study the problem of finding the optimal number and location of the HRS to satisfy the HFCV demand. We solve the problem using a set-covering model. The result shows that the number of HRS increases dramatically as the maximum allowed service distance for an HRS to serve a demand pointdecreases.
