Özet

This paper validates the developed numerical model using both experimental and numerical data for cross-flow condenser tube banks in staggered arrangements with and without a splitter plate. Simulations are performed over a Reynolds number range of 5500–14500 with a splitter plate of length-to-diameter ratio (L/D) equal to 1. A computational mesh consisting of polyhedral and triangular elements with 15,480,342 nodes is employed, and turbulence is modeled using the RNG k–ε model with enhanced wall treatment. The validation results demonstrate that the proposed model predicts the experimental data more accurately than previously reported numerical models at selected Reynolds numbers.
