The main purpose of the research is to determine the reflection of the 5th grade Turkish textbook, which was put into practice in 2024-2025, in the classroom application process. The research group of the study, which was prepared in accordance with the qualitative research design, was determined according to the purposive sampling method. Opinions were gathered from 24 Turkish language teachers working at a middle school under the Ministry of National Education; data from 9 participants, which were determined not to provide sufficient depth, were excluded from the analysis. Within the scope of the research, a semi-structured interview form, one of the qualitative data collection tools, was used, and the collected data were analyzed using the content analysis method. The data were addressed under six themes: the adequacy of the textbook to learn and gain outcomes, the suitability of the textbook to the student level, the comprehensibility of the textbook texts, innovations in the textbook, the contribution of the textbook to higher-order thinking skills, and the general evaluation of the textbook. As a result of the interview, it was determined that the activities were far above the student level, the language of the textbook was too heavy, the texts were too long, the theme evaluation questions were not equivalent to national exams, the number of activities on topics not included in the measurement and evaluation process was too many, the positive and negative views of the participants on the comprehensibility of the texts in the textbook showed a similar distribution, the textbook was of a quality that would develop students' higher-level thinking skills, although the textbook was a carefully prepared and equipped book, the number of activities was excessive and above the student level, there were too many forms to be filled in, it required serious preliminary preparation, and due to these, there was a time problem, the activity explanations were not understood by the students, and some texts were quite long.
