COST Action HISTRATE 2024, Advanced Composites under High Strain Rates Loading: A Route to Certification-by-Analysis., İstanbul, Türkiye, 5 - 06 Haziran 2024, ss.1
Material
modeling of thermoset polymers from quasi-static to high strain rate loading
requires accounting for the unique characteristics of crosslinked structures,
nonlinear viscoelastic behavior, residual stresses, brittle fracture behavior,
and thermal effects. Among these unique
characteristics, adiabatic heating which is
observed at high strain rates is taken into account in the development of
cooperative viscoplasticity theory based on overstress for high strain rate applications.
The thermal strain is included into the total rate of deformation formulation
and compression behaviors at quasi static and high strain rate loading are
simulated for various strain rates. The influences of thermal strain on the
stress-strain behavior are depicted.
