Abstract

In this paper, it is presented that compact partially dielectric loaded 2 -24 GHz ridged horn antenna. Antenna is designed as 2.5 times smaller than standard 800 MHz-18 GHz standard double ridged horn antenna (DRHA) and a partial dielectric load is put inward from its aperture without change its outer size. As a result of dielectric loading, gain of antenna is enhanced quiet well with 5 dB increment and antenna pattern distortion is recovered. Designed antenna is simulated, manufactured and measured. According to results, antenna radiation performance begins from 2 GHz and gain is above 10 dB after 5 GHz. Moreover, VSWR of the antenna is smaller than 3 at whole band.
