Özet

This paper presents the experimental data obtained before and after neutron irradiation of the alumina ceramic samples. For this purpose, some alumina pellets in different size and geometries were prepared and sintered at high temperatures. After the determination of their some mechanical characteristics., these samples were irradiated with 14 MeV neutrons by utilizing a neutron generator called SAMES T-400. By waiting for a proper decaying time, the same tests were repeated and the mechanical properties of the irradiated samples were determined. Results were presented and the effects of the 14 MeV neutrons on the material properties were discussed
