Abstract

In this study, guided TE and TM modes transmitted in guided and planar slab optical waveguides are modeled with artificial neural networks. The results obtained by implementing multiple layer perceptron model are compared with analytical solutions and they are shown to be in agreement. ©2010 IEEE.
