Globalization refers to the phenomenon of increased capital and labor mobility and integration of related policies
across the globe. Despite observing its outcomes for almost half of a century, the effects of globalization are
still highly debated. In this study, the relationship between poverty and globalizationis discussed. We investigate
the relationship between poverty and globalization by carrying out econometric techniques for 100 countries all
around the world, covering the period 1990-2017.The results of our analysis in which we use fixed-effect panel
on annual data show thateconomic globalization has a positive and a significant impact on poverty. Besides,
our results denote that financial globalization increases poverty as well while there is no significant relationship
between trade globalization and poverty.
