Özet
An effective way to determine Fe (III) ions using both colorimetric and smartphone-based detection systems with the aid of curcumin nanoparticles (CurNPs) was demonstrated. CurNPs were synthesized by a simple sonochemical method and characterized by obtaining transmission electron microscope (TEM) images of the nanoparticles to ascertain the morphological structure and size distribution. The [CurNP-Fe (III)] complex was generated in the procedure, and the decrease in absorbance value at 428 nm (maximum specific wavelength of the CurNPs), which was proportional to the [CurNP-Fe (III)] complex formation ratio, was recorded. Good reproducibility and accuracy were observed under these optimum parameters with respect to the 0.23 mg/L limit of detection and 0.76 mg/L limit of quantification in the spectrophotometry system. In addition, the correlation coefficient (R2) value of the obtained from the calibration curve was 0.9948, while the RSD of the lowest calibration concentration was 2.26%. Furthermore, the accuracy and feasibility of the developed method were tested on chamomile tea samples by applying the matrix matching calibration approach and the recovery results obtained from the spiked samples were between 91 and 113%.
