Abstract

Sumac leaves (Rhus coriaria L.), was chosen as a friendly and low-cost adsorbent from the point of sustainable ecosystem. Basic red 46 is a cationic dye commonly used in the textile industry. The adsorbent was experienced according to the various parameters that are effective in the adsorption, and the adsorption was enlightened from the points of capacity, kinetic, and thermodynamic. The biomass monolayer capacity was rather high (443 mg/g) and also comparable to the other adsorbents.
