Özet

As the usage of battery systems continues to grow, it is expected that a significant number of second-life batteries

(SLB) will enter the market in the coming years. This study encompasses the economic analysis of SLB utilization

in photovoltaic (PV) power plants. Based on annual solar energy data, the annual revenue from grid energy sales

with different SLB capacities for a 100 MW capacity PV system was calculated, and an optimization algorithm was

modeled to maximize daily profits. Revenue increases were calculated based on SLB capacity values and their

aging characteristics. Accordingly, utilizing a SLB with a capacity of 500 MWh resulted in a 17.9% higher profit

compared to a system without a battery. Additionally, under optimal conditions, this system provides 92% of the

maximum achievable profit.
