The aim of study was to determine primary student-teachers' misconceptions about diffusion and osmosis. Sample of the study consisted of 38 primary student-teachers attending to sophomore at the Karadeniz Technical University, Fatih Faculty of Education. In order to collect data, two-tier diagnostic diffusion and osmosis test comprised of 10 items was used. The test was developed based on the findings of relevant studies about diffusion and osmosis. The results indicated that the primary student-teachers held some misconceptions primarily stated in national and international literature.
