Abstract

The work presented in this paper deals with the effects of four modes of transformer operation, namely, non(sinusoidal) source voltage and non(linear) loads. The results are presented and compared with the experimental results of the actual values of the Excitation Current THD, Core Voltage THD, K Rating, Harmonic Loss Factor and Efficiency on a loaded single phase two winding transformer that are computed using online measurements from the primary and secondary sides.
