n this study, we will try to show the role of translation in the formation of a new science in Turkish science world. Emile Durkheim is a sociologist who has a considerable contribution to the science of sociology. Because of having very important contributions to Turkish Sociology, he has a priviledge place in our study too. Moreover, in Turkiye when the science of Sociology is mentioned about, there is no doubt the first sociologist who is remembered is Durkheim, and his representative in Turkey is Ziya Gökalp. Durkheim has been the source of inspiration to our enlightened elits to solve our sociological troubles for a period of time. During the Turkish Republican age for a period of time, the education of sociology was the same as Durkheim’s approach. In 2015, a century had passed out from start of sociology education (1914) at Darulfunun by Gokalp under the sway of sociology of Emile Durkheim. Sociology has entered Turkey with Durkheim's influence, simultaneously. Istanbul Darulfunun had continued to have being the center of academic studies of sociology for many years. Turkish sociology has developed by studies in university and outside the university in century. With this bibliography we prepared, we will try to reveal what importance Durkheim has in Turkiye, with the help of translations from Durkheim and the studies about him. We will have provided to have the oppurtunity to see together the chief studies done about the works of Durkheim in the last century in our country and to apppraise them.
