Abstract

There are many legislations of European Union in automotive industry to incorporate environmental

factors into manufacturers’ decisions. Recovery of end-of-life vehicles (ELVs) is a quiet important

activity to meet these legislative necessities. Furthermore, recovery activity of ELVs consists of

several processes such as collecting, dismantling, shredding, recycling and landfilling. In this study, a

Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) is applied to a facility location problem for dismantling and

shredding facilities. Findings of the study present the priorities of potential facility locations for both

dismantling and shredding facilities.
