The sun is one of the most
important resources in terms of renewable energy resources. Photovoltaic solar
energy systems among renewable energy resources produce energy when sunlight is
available, they are most bound to the sun. For the design or analysis of PV
system, it is required to be known that how much radiation falls over PV panel.
Optimum tilt angle is one of the most important parameters in order to receive
maximum radiation over PV panels. As this angle is defending daily, monthly and
annually based on the way of sun follows, this is special for the region. The
detection of this angle accurately is primarily for maximum energy axtracting
from PV. There are various methods concerning for detection of optimum tilt
angle in various regions of the earth. In this chapter, the detailed
examination of mathematical and experimental methods used in the detection of
optimum tilt angle was carried out. This chapter showed that optimum tilt angle
should be locally detected accurately. This general literature review will be
useful for detection of optimum tilt angle for the ones who deal with PV system
design and researchers.
