Özet
This study is a mission design for a smallsat-class observation satellite that will be placed in lunar orbit, observe the lunar surface, and transmit the acquired data to Earth. The mission profile is defined to include an initial Earth parking orbit, an Earth-Moon transfer trajectory, and a target lunar orbit. A 90-degree inclined (polar) lunar orbit has been chosen for the mission. This allows for observation of the entire lunar surface, as well as the craters in the polar regions that are constantly in shadow. The payload package prepared for lunar observations includes a multi-band camera, Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR), and Gamma-Ray Spectrometer (GRS). The study calculates the necessary communication budget and total mass budget for the satellite, and designs the required power system.
