Abstract

In this study, resin-based microneedle (MN) patches were fabricated using a digital light processing (DLP) printer. The needles were coated with gentamicin sulfate (GEN)-loaded with 13.3 % PVA/25 % sucrose solution by immersion. The SEM results showed that the coating was homogeneous and uniformly conical. Analysing the in vitro release profiles of GEN, it was found that it was ultimately released within 312 h. The compression test results demonstrated that GEN addition increased the compression strength to the value of 2.17 ± 0.01 N/mm2.
