Abstract
Differential cross-sections for coherent and Compton scattering of 59.5 keV gamma-rays at the scattering 55degrees and 115degrees by Fe, Ni, Cu, Zn, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ag, Sn, Ta, Au and Pb were measured using a Ge(Li) detector. To measure theoretical coherent and Compton scattering differential cross-sections are extracted by interpolating atomic form factors and incoherent scattering functions corresponding to 2.216 and 4.048 Angstrom(-1) photon momentum transfer. The experimental cross-section ratios are compared with predictions of nonrelativistic and relativistic form factors theories. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V All rights reserved.
