Abstract

This paper uses bibliometric analysis to investigate how scholarship in the realm of tourism and hospitality (T/H) has progressed in Turkey. A total of 135 articles published in 14 leading international T/H journals indexed by Social Sciences Citations Index between 1984 and 2013 were analysed. The analysis presented herein provides a broad view of the trends and patterns. This intellectual structure permits researchers and professionals to identify leading authors, institutions, and publications, and identifies the most influential sources and changes in the field.
