Abstract
A method for the determination of the order of release and the activation energy for the atom formation process from one single absorbance signal under non-isothermal conditions in electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry is presented. A comparison is made with other methods using the same experimental data sets for Cu, Ni, and Au. The deviations from linearity of the Arrhenius plots are discussed. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
