Abstract

With the increasing population and industrialization to meet the demands of this population, air pollution increases day by day. With the air quality index (AQI), which is measured by the combination of gases such as SO2, NO, NOX, the quality of the air in the areas where people live is measured and the necessary precautions are tried to be taken in places where it is high. Although countries and local governments take precautions in this context, this issue attracts the attention of researchers. The subject of this study is estimating the AQI value by using machine learning methods. The results indicate that decision tree models perform best for the two selected regions created using the k-means clustering algorithm.
