Abstract

A new human-machine interface was designed to assist fingers flexion and extension motions. It can be helpful for rehabilitations of hand fingers. In this article, we found a relation between the flexion angles of finger joints during the hand grasping period, such as   for the thumb finger. Then, electromyography and IMU signals were collected and processed to synchronize hand and fingers trajectory with a designed 3D virtual hand. This study was a part of a research project to develop an exoskeleton hand to synchronize with a 3D hand graphics in a virtual reality application.
