International Conference on Energy Systems (ICES-2025), İstanbul, Türkiye, 11 - 14 Mayıs 2025, ss.308-311, (Tam Metin Bildiri)
The purpose of this study is
to design and analyze a coal-fired power plant that includes a CO₂ capture unit from flue gas and synthesizes methanol in a
calciner reactor, thermodynamically and techno-economically. The thermodynamic
analysis is conducted by using the Aspen Plus software. The useful outputs for
the presented system are CH₃OH and electricity. Some
parametric analyses are made to find the crucial properties of the plant. The total
exergy and energy efficiencies of the plant are found to be 0.86 and 0.85,
respectively.
