The energy flow measurement in the CMS detector forward region (3.15 < |η| < 4.9) for various center-of-mass energies √s = 0.9,2.36 and 7 TeV is presented. The measurement has been performed in two different event classes: in minimum bias events and in events with a hard scale provided by a dijet system at central pseudo-rapidities (|η| < 2.5) and with transverse energy ET, jet > 8 GeV at √s = 0.9,2.36 TeV and with ETjet > 20 GeV at √s = 7 TeV. The result of the forward energy flow measurement for the two event classes is compared to predictions from Monte Carlo event generators that were tuned to describe the charged particle spectra seen at central rapidities. A study of the forward jets reconstruction in the pseudo-rapidity range 3.2 < |η| < 4.7 is presented for √ = 7 TeV. The jets are reconstructed with Anti-kT algorithm (R = 0.5).
