Özet

In Turkey, clean and renewable energy sources are promoted and grid regulators reveals limitations for reducing adverse effect of integration to the network. Number of studies and researches have been investigated effect of the high power wind power plant on the grid. However, a few studies related to the investigation of small power wind energy conversion system. Especially in Turkey, techno-economic impact of small power wind energy conversion system needs to be investigated. In this study, feasibility analysis of established small power wind energy system in Bakirkoy Botanical Park area was performed. For the feasibility analysis, two wind speed measurement systems, which are close to the botanical park area, are used. After the obtaining of feasibility analysis, wind turbines are selected and evaluated regarding to their technical specification. In addition, electrical infrastructure and energy demand of park area has been investigated in detail. Harmonic, flicker, voltage stability, short-circuit, etc. are analyzed. As a results of this study; the payback time for the high power wind turbine for the park area is too long because of wind speed is low, wind turbine which produce high power under low wind speed should be selected for park area, multiple small power wind turbine should be installed in park area, wind turbines selected as operating properly with the grid network for reducing adverse effect. Detailed interaction results of installed small power wind power system with grid in botanical park area are presented.
