Özet
Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) are devices that enable high-accuracy measurements and real-time monitoring of the status of power systems. The Optimal PMU Placement (OPP) problem is an optimization problem that aims to achieve full observability of the system using the minimum number of PMUs. In this study, the OPP problem is addressed using topological observability analysis considering Zero Injection Bus (ZIB) constraints and a single PMU loss scenario. Classical meta-heuristic algorithms (SA, ACO, PSO, HS) and modern meta-heuristic algorithms (PO, COA, APO) are compared in terms of minimum number of PMUs, execution time, and solution stability on IEEE 14, 30, 39, 57, and 118-bus power systems. Modern meta-heuristic algorithms have been used to a limited extent in literature for solving the OPP problem. The systematic and comparative analysis of these algorithms on several IEEE power systems fills an important gap in the literature. The results demonstrate that modern meta-heuristic algorithms offer powerful and feasible alternatives for OPP problems.
