Özet
In this study, hydroxyapatite (HA)-matrix coatings modified with carbon nanotubes (CNT) and nanographene (nGr) were successfully fabricated on β-type Ti–30Zr–5Mo alloys via electrophoretic deposition. The aim was to improve bioactivity, adhesion, corrosion resistance, and wear performance of the alloy for biomedical applications. Structural and chemical analyses (XRD, XPS, and FTIR) confirmed the formation of crystalline HA and the emergence of β-TCP as a secondary phase after sintering at 700 °C, while also providing evidence for the incorporation of CNT and nGr into the HA matrix. SEM observations revealed dense, relatively compact, and crack-free morphologies, particularly in CNT:nGr hybrid coatings. The hybrid coatings exhibited enhanced surface hydrophilicity (contact angle <7°) and superior adhesion strength (up to 33 MPa) compared to only HA (~14 MPa) coating. Corrosion analysis in Hank's solution demonstrated that the hybrid 10CNT:5nGr/HA coating achieved the lowest icorr value (2.13 μAˑcm−2) with the lowest degradation rate (0.010 μmˑyear−1), indicating 4 times improvement than only HA coating. Tribological analysis under dry-sliding conditions revealed relatively lower mean friction coefficients and wear rates for the hybrid coatings, suggesting possible complementary contributions from CNT reinforcement and nGr-related lubrication. These results indicate that CNT:nGr hybrid-reinforced HA coatings may improve the corrosion and dry-sliding wear properties of Ti–30Zr–5Mo alloys, suggesting potential for biomedical applications.
