Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, SAMR (Substitution [yerine koyma/kullanma], Augmentation [geliştirme/genişletme], Modification [değiştirme], Redefinition [yeniden tanımlama/ düzenleme]) modeline dayalı teknoloji temelli konuşma eğitiminin yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğrenen B1 düzeyindeki öğrencilerin konuşma becerileri ve konuşma öz yeterlilik algıları üzerindeki etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırma, ön test-son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desende yürütülmüştür. Çalışma grubunu bir Türkçe öğretim merkezinde öğrenim gören 58 B1 düzeyi öğrenci oluşturmuş; öğrencilerin 29’u deney, 29’u kontrol grubunda yer almıştır. Veriler Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Türkçeyi Yabancı Dil Olarak Öğrenenler İçin Konuşma Öz Yeterlilik Ölçeği ve Yabancı Dil Olarak Türkçe Öğrenenler İçin B1 Düzeyi Konuşma Becerisi Dereceli Puanlama Anahtarı kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Altı haalık uygulama sürecinde deney grubunda SAMR modeline göre yapılandırılmış teknoloji temelli konuşma etkinlikleri uygulanırken kontrol grubunda mevcut öğretim programındaki etkinlikler sürdürülmüştür. Her iki gruba uygulama öncesinde ön test, uygulama sonrasında son test yapılmıştır.
e purpose of this study was to determine the effects of technology-based speaking instruction grounded in the SAMR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition) model on the speaking skills and perceived speaking self-efficacy of B1- level learners of Turkish as a foreign language. e study employed a quasi- experimental pretest-posttest control-group design. e study group consisted of 58 B1-level students enrolled at a Turkish language teaching center, with 29 participants assigned to the experimental group and 29 to the control group. Data were collected using a Personal Information Form, the Speaking Self-Efficacy Scale for Learners of Turkish as a Foreign Language, and the B1-Level Speaking Skills Analytic Rubric for Learners of Turkish as a Foreign Language. During the six-week intervention, the experimental group participated in technology-based speaking activities structured according to the SAMR model, whereas the control group continued with the activities included in the existing curriculum. Both groups completed a pretest before the intervention and a posttest following its completion. e data were analyzed using independent- and paired-samples t-tests and a two-way mixed analysis of variance. e experimental group obtained significantly higher posttest scores than the control group in grammar, vocabulary, context-appropriate language use, coherence, pronunciation, and communication/interaction; however, the difference in fluency was not statistically significant. Speaking self-efficacy scores increased significantly in both groups, but the group-by-time interaction was not significant. ese findings indicate that instruction based on the SAMR model supports several dimensions of speaking proficiency.
