A large part of maritime transport in the world is provided by sea. Due to the nature and amount of fuel used by ships and motor vehicles used in maritime transportation, the pollutant effect on the environment is quite significant. Air pollution and climate change are among the most talked about effects in our daily life. Efforts are being made to reduce these, and the limit values are gradually being lowered in these studies. For this reason, studies in different areas such as the use of alternative fuels in sea transportation, the search for new fuel types, changes in ship design, technological improvements are increasing. In maritime transportation, fuel efficiency is increased by making improvements in terms of technology, and the negative effects on the environment are tried to be minimized by researching clean fuel types.
